Splash Panels
Splash panels have now been added to only one end of the machine. This has enabled the microfiber pad to surround the umbrella completely at 360 degrees. As shown in testing, the umbrella dryer will now dry up to 90% of the surface water off the umbrella. This is due to the mechanics of how the umbrella is placed and moved inside the microfiber pad. The splash panels also eliminate the water flicking outside of the machine when you have open ends on the machine.
Competitions Machines on the market that have this problem require additional mating and cleaning from the spills. The splash panels are made from the same Aluminum and adds a lot of strength to the machine. This eliminates the moment arm that can crate movement in the panels. Below are photos of machines from competitors that are starting to fail. The moment arm creates extra stress to the mounting area at the base leading to the panel splitting and coming apart at the base. Wet Umbrella had the same experience when we bout the same models in 2014. We discontued it due to this problem and corrosion issues.
Base is 160mm wide here
Top is 180mm wide here, 20mm of movement so far.
